Backstage Studio’s Magical STEP—that’s Stage & Theme Entertainment Prep—is a 4-month intensive program full of lights, music, and behind-the-curtain magic built for intermediate to advanced dancers (ages 18–24) ready to take the scene in theatrical and commercial arts industries.
This isn’t just a program—it’s a dancer's pre-show call to greatness. Under the spotlight of industry professionals and guided by an optimized curriculum, M-STEP fine-tunes technique, ignites artistry, and teaches the Mastery of professionalism that makes stars shine.
From the rehearsal room to the final bow, M-STEP offers immersive training, real-world performance experience, insider business smarts, and the kind of industry exposure that turns auditions into bookings; Equipping dancers with the skills, experience, and connections needed for long-term success.

Key components of the M-STEP program include:

Fall and Spring Semesters (4 months each, with over 480 hours of training)

Graduates will earn a Certificate of Completion, acquire access to a strong professional network, and be prepared to succeed as versatile, multi-disciplinary artists in the dance, arts, and entertainment industry—ready to perform wherever there's a stage.
This program is ideal for dancers from studios, high school programs, colleges, or those at the pre-professional level seeking momentum directly towards launching their professional careers, especially for theme parks, theatres, cruiselines, and other commercial & theatrical industries.
