Marisa Dolan Garland is a dynamic professional dance artist known for her versatility, performance excellence, diverse training, and passion for empowering the next generation of performers through dance, education, and creative media. Marisa is an Actors Equity member and is currently performing at Walt Disney World Resort in their iconic Beauty and the Beast Live on Stage show as a dancer. Other notable credits include performing with the Broadway cast of Spiderman: Turn Off the Dark in Broadway Care’s Gypsy of the Year in New York City. She has also performed at Universal Studios Orlando Resort, where she was in the opening cast of the Marilyn Monroe and the Diamond Bellas show as a Diamond Bella dancer. She was also a part of the closing casts of Superstar Parade and Macy’s Holiday Parade, as well as the opening cast of Universal’s latest holiday parade. She continues to work as a freelance dancer, performing in many shows and productions across the United States.
Marisa is trained in a wide range of styles including ballet, pointe, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, theatre, modern, and hip-hop styles. Her love for the arts led her to study dance and graphic design at Jacksonville University. She furthered her classical ballet training at the Gelsey Kirkland Academy in NYC, later joining Broadway Dance Center’s Professional Semester Program, where she trained with top choreographers and earned performance opportunities at venues like Good Morning America and Alvin Ailey.
Marisa is avid in sharing her knowledge and passion with dancers and travels across the country teaching, choreographing, and adjudicating. She serves as Artistic Director and is the co-creator of the Dancelook Apprentice Program, a program designed to train and help young dancers transition into a professional career.
Marisa is the co-director of Dancelook with her husband, Carlos Garland. Dancelook is a performing art production company specializing in media film creation, live show entertainment, education and training, that emphasizes the art, sport, and culture of dance. In addition to dance, Marisa has studied acting, film production, TV production, videography, photography, graphic design, art, and music. Through Dancelook and her multimedia work, Marisa combines all her creative passions to support and inspire the next generation of artists.
