Dawn Branch – Choreographer, Educator, and Visionary

Dawn Branch is a native New Yorker and graduate of the prestigious LaGuardia High School of the Performing Arts. She holds a BA in Media & Communications and is DEA Level II certified. Her early dance training includes time as a soloist with the Bernice Johnson Dance Company and a scholarship student at Alvin Ailey American Dance School, studying under renowned instructors like Denise Jefferson and Kevin Iega Jeff.

Her professional career includes co-choreographing with Michael Peters, performing with Ben Vereen and Diana Ross, and serving as rehearsal director for The Chocolate Nutcracker in Orlando. She is the founder of the Dawn Branch Master Dance Series, bringing master artists from NYC to Central Florida from 2009–2012.

In 2012, she launched Dawn Branch Works Contemporary Ballet Company to create meaningful, soul-driven works and provide seasoned dancers a platform to continue performing. Her choreography has earned national and international acclaim, winning numerous top awards at ballet competitions in the U.S., Romania, and Italy. She also directed the Sanford NAACP ACTSO program, leading students to national success.

In 2015, she premiered Eden, a spiritually inspired production that became an annual tradition. In 2016, she founded the Dawn Branch Works Junior Company to train dancers ages 7–17 for professional careers in dance.

Dawn continues to freelance as a choreographer and educator across Central Florida, with teaching credits at major institutions including Master Ballet Academy, Mobile Ballet Company, Orlando Ballet School, and more. Her recent work includes choreography for the indie film Dance For Me (2021/22).
